Craft Workshops in Middleton

Learn new skills, meet other makers and enjoy friendly creative sessions at M24 Arts.

Our craft workshops in Middleton welcome beginners, experienced makers, adults, children and families. Regular community sessions run alongside a changing programme of workshops led by independent creative tutors.

Booking arrangements are shown below. Olganna and Creative Coati manage bookings for their own workshops through their websites.


Regular Workshops

Chatty Crafters

Every Wednesday morning

Bring your own project, enjoy a brew, meet fellow makers and spend a few relaxing hours crafting together. Everyone is welcome, whatever your experience.

Under-18s Crochet

First Saturday of the month

A relaxed crochet session best suited to young makers aged 8–17. A parent or carer should stay for the first session; after that, young people who feel confident and can participate independently may attend without them. Young people should be comfortable taking part independently.

Materials are provided, or bring your own project.

Sewing Workshops

Second Saturday of the month

Join Helen from Olganna for friendly sewing workshops focused on small, achievable projects such as scrunchies and bags. These sessions are ideal for beginners, with everyone working towards leaving with one or two completed items. You are welcome to bring your own sewing machine—please let Helen know when booking.

Turn your old threads into wearable art in this stitching workshop.

Learn beginner-friendly Sashiko-inspired stitches and visible-mending techniques to repair and personalise clothing or textiles. Guidance is provided throughout.

Handmade needle felted animal workshop example

Learn the basics of shaping wool fibres and create your own characterful needle-felted animal. Suitable for beginners and experienced crafters, with all materials and guidance provided.

Christmas Jesmonite Creations

Come and create your own unique Jesmonite pieces at our fun workshop.

Join Caroline Coates from Creative Coati and learn how to mix, colour and add textural effects to eco-friendly Jesmonite. Choose from a range of moulds and make at least three unique pieces.

Suitable for complete beginners, with all materials provided.

One Day Mosaic Workshop

Make a gorgeous mosaic in a day at this workshop.

Colourful handmade mosaic workshop project

Design and complete an upcycled mosaic with artist Caroline Coates, from arranging reclaimed materials through to grouting. This adult day workshop includes all materials and a scheduled lunch break.
